March 23, 2014 - From Ben

Dear Hermana Cox,

Hi Courtney this is Ben, how are you? Hope you are doing well on your mission

here is an update on what has been happening this week...

Soccer just started up again, HALLELUJAH!!! I have been waiting forever for it to get up and started. I had my first practice this Thursday and I have been practicing every day after school for the past month and a half so at my practice, well firstly we ran a bunch so I was ready for that and because not very many people on our team were there we played a scrimmage game and every time a team scored the other team had to run and I scored 7 OF 8 POINTS!!! so the other team got a great exercise. Our first game is in two weeks and my coach is thinking about moving me from midfielder to forward! I will let you know how that goes.

And this past week in school they have been talking about running for 8th grade office and track i'm thinking about running for vice president. there is a lot of paper work that I have to do to run and a lot of requirements also. And for track i'm going to try out for discus, short distance running and long jump. so wish me luck!

And we just got your letter of the twelve days of Christmas letter and I read the first scripture.

Matthew 16:16 - "And Simon Peter answer and said, Thou are the Christ, the son of the living God."

I like this scripture because of how it shows that "Simon Peter" believed that Christ was the son of the LIVING god, just like how we believe that Christ is the son of the living god.

Here is one of my favorite scriptures that I would like you to read.

I love your ¨Hallelujah¨ comment. I´m happy you get to keep going with soccer. Keep me updated with how that goes! You´re an awesome player, and I know how much you love it. You could be Argentine :) They LOVE LOVE LOVE soccer here. they cancel work and close down highways when there are matches of the teams here. 8th Grade office would be so fun! I know Davis loved doing student council. You would be great! I can{t believe you{re going to be in 8th grede!
